It's been a great week out here at Eureka. Nothing better than being the topic of conversation and that was certainly the case after appearing on the box yet again this week.

Sky Racing's Bred to Win is the show all us stallions want to be on and well, didn't I deliver. I can strut for the cameras and even neighed a tune. For those of you who don't know, I’m a massive Jimmy fan and the tune I was belting out was one with a bit of irony I suppose.... There ain't no second prize! Boy didn’t that ring true throughout my career.
One thing I must say though was my mate, Angus McAlpine who was leading me around for the cameras is over 6 feet tall .. and was giving me a bit of a complex!! C’mon boss, next time can you let someone a little smaller lead me around, I need to be standing taller than you human folk.
Anyway have now produced the goods with over 100 mares .. and one word of advice, keep bringing them on!! Perfect practice makes for perfect performance and you only have to ask those that venture out this way whether they go away well satisfied.
With the Spring Carnival getting down to the nitty gritty all the big guns are taking to the track. None more so than in the Manikato Stakes race at the Valley. I look at this race with mixed emotions as big bro Temple steps out again as too does my girl, Angelic Light. Both go there with chances, though I do think that Angelic Light will look the winner at some stage of the race when they hit the home turn.
The race has attracted the best sprinters in the country and I would go so far as saying this is the best quality race of the Spring Carnival thus far. There should be good pace, and if that’s the case it’ll definitely suit my little girl, Angelic. She has a very high cruising pace and travels so well that she needs the speed on, as she can then sprint off that high cruising speed where others can't. We have plenty in common in that regard and I know would make very good offspring if she finally falls for my web of charm.
As they say though, blood is thicker than water and I’ll be neighing hardest for the big bro who’ll push forward and hopefully get in somewhere one off the fence. He is a bulldog, but like Angelic the class of the race could prove a mountain too high. I tell you what though, both will try their hearts out and judging by the photos of Temple at the beach this week, he’s in great spirits. C'mon big bro make me prouder than I already am! Until next week, go the Booms.
Neigh for now
Spirit
