For those poor souls who haven't known what to do with themselves over the past 2 months, never fear I’m back, and back with a bang!

I did take a 2 month sabbatical from informing you human folk my comings and goings; but there comes a time when you just have to concentrate on the job at hand. All those with an interest in me deserved that commitment, and whilst all didn't go swimmingly, pardon the pun, I must say my first season pleasing the females achieved a pass mark.
I put all my efforts into producing positive outcomes for all and with that came an absolute motivation to do as good a job as I could. Whilst I didn't go to the lengths some of you humans do, like be at the beck and call of my female companions, I did resolve to tick all the boxes. C'mon us stallions are the bosses!! In total I’m hoping for 115 live foals on the ground .. a spirited performance to say the least
What an announcement a week or so ago regarding the Magic Millions raceday. In committing total prize money of $10 million the event managers have provided the Queensland racing industry with unexpected impetus. I’m sure this will also provide momentum in the sales rings, as only us Magic Millions/QTIS horses are eligible to get a slice of the prize money. You could say just a little too late for me, unless of course they want to back pay me for my Magic Millions Cup win.... Please??? Oh and whilst on that, maybe Temple for his Magic Millions Sprint win? Wishful thinking I know but who knows the old boy might even line up in that race in 12 months time. The whole raceday will become one not only targeted by 2 and 3-year-olds but the top-class, older horses, who in days gone by would’ve been expected to carry too much lead; meaning an impossible task and the very real possibility of injury. With a swell of better horses it will mean the weights will be more comparable against each other. That in turn will result in greater TAB and corporate bookmaker turnover, plus greatly anticipated media interest at a national level.
You have to take your hat off to my late old boy Sequalo. He again is showing the way for us QLD sires with a couple of campaigners in the 2-year-old feature today, including the probable favourite Frequendly. It has been said many times before, but his ability to produce precocious stock, yet be probably more known as a sire who installs durability and toughness, makes him one of the greatest ever Queensland stallions.Yes I can hear you say I’m biased, and yes I agree, but statistics don't lie. You only have to look at the results weekly to see him having an early running 2-year-old winner in the city and backing that up with an 8-year-old gelding consistently making his mark in the bush.
On the subject of 8-year-olds, what about old Phelan Ready? Today he’s featured on the Magic Millions race card for the 5th time, what an outstanding achievement! His last 2 runs resulted in 2 commanding victories giving him a great chance of being in the money on the Gold Coast today. In actual fact it was the big bro who gave him his first real opportunity. Temple qualified for the Magic Millions 2 Year Old Classic but never took his place in the field, meaning Phelan Ready, which would have been first emergency gained a start in the field. I only know that as every time either the Magic Millions or Phelan Ready are mentioned, Temple likes to lay claim to his own orchestration of his initial success. Speaking of Temple, he’s back at the pre trainers and his campaign targets will be confirmed as he gets back to full fitness.
Well, once again sorry for the lack of information over the last couple of months, but hopefully this fills the void. With plenty of time on my hands for the next 6 months I plan on keeping you well and truly updated on all things Boom Bros.
Neigh for now
