60 Minutes' John Maclean: See 'HOW' Ken Ware Got Him Walking Again

14 Apr 2014

As featured on Channel 9‘s 60 Minutes program, Ken Ware is the person who got John Maclean walking again. NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation, founded by Ken Ware is a revolutionary process that has seen the first worldwide account of a medically defined paraplegic being able to walk again unassisted - and in unprecedented time scales.

Australian Paralympian John Maclean was declared a paraplegic 25 years ago, but since undertaking a comprehensive NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation program is now able to walk, after just four sessions.

Maclean is now preparing to compete in his first able-bodied triathlon before year’s end.

The debilitating pain that has also plagued his quality of life, to the point where he was going to amputate his leg, has been eradicated.

For Ken Ware, Maclean’s case is just one of many success stories.

This therapy helps 100% of people, 100% of the time, irrespective of their condition - spinal cord, chronic pain, complex chronic disorders, injury, or physical and emotional well-being.

The therapy does not discriminate as it focuses on treating the person, not the disorder.

Pete Jacobs

World Ironman Champion 2012

'I couldn’t run, or ride for 6 weeks – even swimming tightened up my body. At the end of that third day in the gym, Ken took me across the road to a park and said, ok do a few 100 metre sprints. I hadn’t run without pain for 6 weeks.  Even walking had been painful. And there I went – I did 3 x 100 metre sprints, flat out, with no pain in my hip at all.'

Maxine Seear

Maxine Seear is a 2004 Triathlon Olympian

Maxine has been battling with a chronic ongoing hip injury for the past 10 years.  She was only getting 18% of blood through her right leg and had a couple of blood clots, and was in horrific pain.

‘I’ve had more gains in the first 6 weeks than I’ve had in 10 years.’

Selina Scoble

Australian Volleyball Olympian and USA dual scholarship athlete at Oregon State for volleyball and basketball, was forced to end her playing career after a neck injury in 2000. After struggling with chronic neck pain for 14 years, 3 sessions with Ken and she was pain free and now back in the weights room lifting the heaviest she's ever lifted.

HISTORY OF NEUROPHYSICS TRAINING AND REHABILITATION

The story of NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation began 25 years ago, with its origins evolved through self diagnosis by Ken Ware, guiding clients through unique parameters, using specific equipment, and under micro stimulation is able to detect and assess the client to correct imbalances which are a signature of how that person physically and emotionally interacts with their environment.

Put simply, NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation is a scientific, systems based, exercise program that allows for the complete physical and emotional recalibration of the human nervous system. This unique process restores optimal health, system integrity and has the capacity to optimise the functional performance of any person who engages in the process.

Ken Ware has only recently returned from presenting in the Netherlands at the 6th International Nonlinear Science Conference - Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology & Life Sciences, where John Maclean's example was used as case study evidence for the merits of NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation.

Unlike most other training and rehabilitation methods, NeuroPhysics Training and Rehabilitation targets the origins of pain and disorders rather than just the mechanics and symptoms. It’s a solution focused process rather than a problem focused one, assisting clients in the control and management of the following areas:

• Chronic Pain

• Complex Chronic Disorders

• Spinal Cord Injuries

• Sports Performance

• Weight Management

• Personal Health and Wellbeing

The International NeuroPhysics Functional Performance Institute is based at Robina on Australia’s Gold Coast.
