Straight from the horse’s mouth - Percentages are positive!!

02 Mar 2015

It's been a few high-vibe weeks for me following positive feedback relating to some of my better mares serviced, who are now past the important 45 days in-foal mark.

And understandable acknowledgement for your’s truly; appearing in two of the countries leading newspapers within their prestigious bloodlines columns.  John Holdsworth’s Sydney Morning Herald yarn in particular was very rewarding, as it's way too easy up here in Queensland to be out of sight, out of mind among the top scribes.

After a good first season, the challenge now is to consistently back that up, starting in August 2015, and being able to tempt the mares from down south up here to God’s country. Such a situation is vital to my success!

Being pitchforked into the nation’s papers can only help pique the interest among the southerners, reminding them that a dual Group 1 winning horse, with a Group 1 winning brother is ready, willing and able.  Oops I’m doing it again, neighing about myself in the 3rd horse. What the heck, if you got it why not flaunt it! NOL

I am hearing along the carrot patch that a few ideas are being tossed around to include my followers in the process when my ladies start foaling. In its infancy at the moment, but I’m sure it would be a great initiative, after all those who know me definitely can attest that I am definitely not camera shy. 😛

I always stick to my word and as I promised I’ll keep you updated on the big bros progress so here we go. He’s well and truly back into the swing of things and is being readied for a jump-out in the next week or so. As his main goal is the Winter Carnival Temple’s still unsure where he’ll be starting off at, but I’m sure as usual, no matter the venue he’ll race his heart out.

One of my other favourites, Angelic Light .. oh angel you are Angelic 😍 is also close to a trial. She’s now recovered from her failed Perth trip where the track was not at all forgiving for her. There have been a few scares along the way this preparation, but from my understanding, all being well, she’ll kick off in the William Reid at what has become hers and I guess my favourite track, Moonee Valley. Glad I never had to race against her, my mind certainly wouldn’t have been on the job at all.

Neigh for now
